Hauser Award

Architectenbureau Paul de Ruiter heeft een Häuser Award en publieksprijs gewonnen met Villa Röling. Het Duitse magazine Häuser heeft het ontwerp voor deze prestigieuze woning beloond met een tweede prijs. De villa prijkt op de voorkant van het bijbehorende boek en maarteditie van het magazine.

“The second place was awarded to the design by Paul de Ruiter, whose 
lakeside house for a Dutch art collector couple near Amsterdam manages to open up completely to the surrounding countryside whilst simultaneously providing enough space for numerous works of art. The kitchen, dining room and terrace flow into one another; sitting in the middle of the living room, you feel as if you are out in the garden that stretches all the way to the shore of the lake. The jury’s verdict: the house accomplishes the elegant balancing act of mediating between the magnificent location and the practical interests of its art-collecting occupants.”
